Commercial Groundworks & Underground Tank Installation

K&J Groundworks was commissioned to carry out a complex commercial groundwork project on a busy industrial site in Oxfordshire. The scope of the job involved the excavation and installation of a large underground stormwater attenuation tank, designed to manage surface water runoff effectively and support long-term drainage infrastructure.

Our team expertly handled the entire process, from digging the tank base with precision to carefully lifting and securing the tank into place using heavy plant machinery. Once positioned, the tank was connected to the surrounding drainage system and bedded in concrete to ensure structural integrity.

 

Following this, we installed a durable geotextile system and backfilled the area with gravel to complete the attenuation system.

The project also involved reinstating surrounding surfaces, including trench repairs and ground levelling, leaving the site safe, tidy, and fully operational. This job highlights our capability in delivering reliable and technically sound groundworks for commercial and industrial applications.
